The Work will support us in identifying and setting ourselves free from the painful beliefs we attached to during sexual abuse incidents. Thoughts like: “I deserved it” “No one can be trusted” “I am worthless” “Women just have to put up with men’s sexual harassment” continue to mentally abuse us. We will explore how to heal personal painful stories arising from sexual abuse incidents as well as oppressive cultural beliefs. And for those of us who “freely” participated in sexual abuse or did not speak up about it as adults, we’ll explore and question the thoughts and beliefs that led us to that.

I was sexually harassed by a teacher in 7-9^th grade and in a workplace. I also spent five years in the Osho Rajneesh movement where the sexual abuse and use was rampant. And, now, decades later, thanks to the “Me Too” movement I have come to realize how that culture had nothing to do with freedom or evolving spiritually. I have immense gratitude for The Work; it helped me see through, shift and heal all these experiences and come into a deeper selflove and compassion, even towards my “abusers.”
